Last year I went along to the first wooden surfboard day at Currumbin Alley organised by Grant Newby (same guy that does the fish fry). It was awesome. Inspired me to get my act together and make my alaia as well as a couple of handplanes which Ive been having a heap of fun with recently. Look forward to going again this year.
